The most hilarious scene in the film belongs to MS Narayana where he explains how drunkards are helping the Government. Though the initial half an hour after the interval bores you, the director turns it around with well conceived scenes towards the end of the film. Hence there is no conflict point in the second half as audiences are well aware by then that heroine’s parents are not going to catch her. The entire second half is about how heroine falls in love with the hero. There is only one screenplay knot that is opened in the interval. Hence it is very difficult to write screenplay. Story - screenplay - direction: Story of the film has nothing to do with Jab We Met film but for a couple of slight references (heroine mouthing abuses on phone and the beginning notes of Edo song). Vamsi (Paiditalli from Happy Days) has a small, but interesting role. MS Narayana is excellent in the tax-payers episode. Paruchuri Gopala Krishna is extremely good as the villainous elder. Subbaraju dons a refreshing (away from his usual roles) role in this film. But his usage of expletives at end his dialogue is little discomforting to ears. But his performance in the hospital scene in the climax is ultimate. She gave wide variety of expressions in this film. And her performance in the scene in which she banters after getting drunk is very good. Her hysterical performance when she is slapped shows another shade of her. It appears like she dubbed her own voice in certain scenes of the film. She is completely child-like and playfully innocent. Genelia: You would see an entirely different Genelia in this film.
The rest of the story is all about the background of Anand and what happens between the couple. She also learns that the groom’s father is money-minded. After coming home she realizes that her marriage is fixed with an NRI and her wedding is due that night. She gets very happy on knowing this and they get married and all ends well.Sasirekha (Genelia) is summoned by her strict father (Ahuti Prasad) to return home. The climax has Sasi's family and Abhimanyu's family in the hospital where Abhimanyu makes them realise their mistakes and Sasi realises that Anand is indeed Abhimanyu. A completely teary Abhimanyu takes her to the hospital in auto and Sasi declares her love for him on the way.
On reaching Hyderabad after many adventurous events, Sasi get hit by a glass bottle during a strike. Sasi tries reaching her friend in Hyderabad while escaping her relatives and finding her stolen ornaments with the help of Anand aka Abhimanyu who is deeply in love with her. As it turns out, Anand is Abhimanyu, the one she was supposed to marry, but due to dowry disputes with his dad, the wedding party leaves without him.
They bond well during their acquaintance and the rest of the movie is about how she falls in love with Anand. Soon after, she runs into Anand ( Tharun). When the groom's father demands dowry on the wedding day, she runs away from her marriage. She is to see a video of the groom and his house, but stamps on it, declaring she doesn't want to get married. The independent and spirited Sashirekha ( Genelia) is ordered by her father to marry an NRI. The movie has been dubbed in Hindi as Bhagam Bhag Love and also dubbed into Tamil as Sasirekhavin Kalyanam. It was one of the average grossers in Tharun's career.
Upon release, it received positive reviews and was a commercial success at the box office. Sasirekha Parinayam is a 2009 Indian Telugu-language romantic drama film directed by Krishna Vamsi and produced by Sunkara Madhumurali.
